I want to share with you the incredible experience my husband and I had at a recent farewell party for our dear friend, Zarah Burt. Initially, we hadn’t planned on attending, but sometimes life surprises us in the most delightful ways.

It all started when my husband finished his work earlier than expected. As we pondered our evening plans, we realized we still had time to make it to Bacolod for Zarah’s farewell party at Taverna Bacolod. Despite feeling a bit hesitant due to the sudden change of plans, we decided to seize the opportunity and embark on an impromptu adventure.

Our journey to Bacolod was nothing short of exhilarating. My heart raced as Ralph, my husband, accelerated the car, zooming down the highway. It felt as though we were soaring through the air, Hinigaran to Bacolod in less than an hour! The speed and excitement of the drive intensified my nervousness about attending the party, but I couldn’t contain my excitement either.

As we arrived at Taverna Bacolod, the warm ambiance of the place instantly enveloped us. The intimate setting and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a heartfelt gathering. We were delighted to see our beloved 8 am Yoga friends already gathered, their smiles conveying the joy of being together.

Zarah, the guest of honor, radiated happiness and nostalgia. The room buzzed with laughter, conversations, and an overall sense of camaraderie. It was evident that this farewell party was a testament to the deep bonds she had formed among the group.

As the evening progressed, stories were shared, memories were cherished. Each person present had a unique tale to tell, whether it was the early morning yoga sessions, the countless cups of coffee shared, or the memorable trips taken together. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that Zarah’s journey would soon take her to the United Kingdom, but also an opportunity to express how we all have enjoyed her company.

As the night drew to a close, we exchanged heartfelt goodbyes and promises to keep in touch. Zarah’s departure was imminent, but the memories we shared that evening would forever hold a special place in our hearts.
