Today marks the fifth (yes, fifth!) consecutive day of heavy rain, and I’m starting to forget what a dry window even looks like. It’s like we’ve completely swapped the scorching heat from a few months ago for a rain-soaked monsoon marathon. Don’t get me wrong—I’m all for cool weather. I mean, I’d take cold over the sweltering heat any day. But seriously, can I at least get a break to see out my window without it looking like I’m living underwater?
Tomorrow, we’re supposed to travel to Bacolod for our Wednesday Realignment Yoga class, but who knows? The rain gods seem determined to turn every road into a river. Schools are already suspended in Bacolod, so Ken’s still here in Hinigaran. Honestly, it’s a blessing in disguise because he’s not feeling too great right now, so at least he doesn’t have to brave the weather to go back. Silver lining, I guess?
Oh, and let’s not forget that Friday is a big day—Daily Prana’s anniversary and Dhaba’s! We were supposed to check in at Sukro for a bit of a celebration, but the rain has other plans. These typhoons seem to be setting up camp, and it’s anyone’s guess when they’ll finally leave. But hey, as long as the universe keeps the scorching heat at bay, I think I’ll tolerate the soggy windows and muddy shoes for a little while longer.
Now, can I order some sunshine without the heat, please? Is that too much to ask?
