When the Earth Groans, Are We Even Listening?

Earthquakes, wildfires, volcano eruptions, political chaos — if this isn’t the loudest wake-up call from the universe, I don’t know what is. Everywhere we turn, something is burning, breaking, or falling apart — and yet somehow, we still scroll, sip our coffee, and say, “That’s life.”

Except… it’s not just “life.” It’s prophecy unfolding right in front of us.

The Bible has been warning us all along:

“There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Matthew 24:7–8

And honestly? It’s hard not to feel like we’re living through those birth pains right now. The ground shakes beneath our feet, the skies darken with smoke, and leaders all over the world fight for power while their people suffer. Humanity is being tested — not just by disasters, but by our response to them.

We’ve mastered the art of distraction, denial, and debate. But have we mastered compassion, repentance, and faith?

Maybe it’s time we stop pointing fingers at nature, governments, or fate — and start looking inward. Maybe these calamities aren’t random at all. Maybe they’re a mirror of the chaos we’ve allowed inside ourselves.

The world doesn’t need another trending hashtag.

It needs hearts that turn back to God.

So, prepare — not by hoarding canned goods or building bunkers — but by cleaning up your soul.

Because when the earth groans, it’s not just shaking the ground… it’s shaking our conscience.

🙏 May we all find our way back before the final tremor.
