As I sit down to write these words, my heart is heavy with the weight of losing the most important person in my life. On the day we laid my father, Engineer Alfonso T. Navarro Jr., to rest, the outpouring of love, support, and kindness from our friends and family was truly overwhelming.
In times of grief, we often find solace in the warmth of the people who surround us. Our sincerest gratitude goes out to each and every one of you who stood by our side on that difficult period. Your gestures of love and sympathy touched our hearts in ways we can never fully express.
To those who sent flowers, your blooms added a touch of beauty to a somber day, reminding us of the beauty that exists even in sorrow. Your cash donations were not just financial support, but a testament to your care and concern for our family’s well-being.
The private messages we received, filled with comforting words and shared memories of my father, brought tears to our eyes. They served as a reminder of the impact my father had on so many lives.
The meals that were delivered to our home provided nourishment for both our bodies and souls. In those moments when cooking felt impossible, your kindness sustained us.
We are grateful to those who lent us canopies, tables, and chairs. Your practical assistance made the logistics of the day much smoother, allowing us to focus on honoring my father’s memory.

My father, or Papa as we fondly called him, was indeed well-loved by all of you, and that love shone brightly on the day of his farewell. We believe that he was smiling down on us, touched by the incredible display of compassion and support.
