David’s Salon Products Protect and Revitalize Your Damaged and Colored Hair

To those of you who have been following our YouTube Channel, it’s no secret that I’ve been trying to maintain a blonde hair. My first successful blonde transformation happened a year ago and I had David Salon to thank for. At the time, I still had a long hair and the whole platinum blonde transformation cost me a LOT! I’m not even kidding you!

A month prior to going to David’s Salon however, I already had my hair bleached three times at a local parlor (thanks to my husband who was very insistent about it). I was asked to choose the shade that I wanted to achieve, and I was pretty sure I chose the lightest shade and just hoped for the best. Unfortunately, I didn’t get 100% what I truly wanted color-wise which prompted me to seek a more proven professional hair specialist in the city.

That’s where David’s Salon came in. Two hair specialists worked on my hair. They bleached it again two times which summed up to 5 total times all together, so you can pretty much expect how weak my hair was getting.

The big difference with getting my hair bleached with David’s Salon is that, I did not feel any burning on my already-damaged scalp. And I came out of the salon looking perfect with the color I really wanted, and without any damage to my scalp which was very important to me, so the price was definitely worth it!

It is, however, very hard to maintain a blonde hair. It is quite a responsibility. It’s not a problem for me though because if there’s really someone who really wanted me to be blonde, it’s none other than my own husband, so he took the responsibility of working on my root touch-up when my black hair was starting to grow back and become very obvious. But to make the long story short, we did a lot of things to my hair just on our own and it came to a point where my hair couldn’t take it anymore. I had a lot of hair fall anytime I shampoo, or just simply when I comb my hair. I also had bald spots which were very obvious at plain sight. So I decided to cut my hair very short.

I had sported a short hair for a long time because it seemed to me that it was taking so long for it to grow back. I wasn’t sure if it completely damaged my hair to the point of it slowing down its growth, but I was just not used to having a short hair-cut. I swore that the next time my hair grew back, that I would only go to David Salon for whatever treatment my hair would need.

That’s why when it did grow back a little, we went back to David’s Salon last December of 2017 to get highlights this time around. As usual, I really achieved what I asked for, and it’s all worth it despite how pricey it all came up to once again.

As an upsell, they suggested that we buy their David’s Salon Shampoo and Conditioner because they’re “sulfate-free”; it just means it protects the color in your hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner were a little pricey. Initially, I thought they have this quota system where they have to sell something after providing a service because I truly find the products really expensive, not to mention the treatment and the service itself.

Two weeks after using the shampoo and conditioner, my hair actually started growing faster, as if it has been restored to its normal function; I didn’t have bald spots anymore, and gone are my hair fall days!

We did plan to return two months after getting the highlights back to David’s Salon to lighten my hair but still with highlights. I always ask for Mel whenever I go there to handle me. I don’t know exactly what role she has there, but I believe she’s somewhat in a higher position compared to the rest. She usually has an assistant with her to do the work while she’s just supervising.

The latest product we bought after doing my hair was the hair mask. It is only supposed to be used once a week for 20 minutes duration. And trust me when I say that the hair mask works wonder! Please see the video above for my first time applying it and how it turned out.

Last, I just want to say that our hair is very important. I highly suggest that if you want to get a major work done on it like coloring it to something really out of the ordinary like going from black to blonde that involves a heavy amount of bleaching, David’s Salon is the way to go. They are using top of the line products that don’t irritate your scalp.
