Christmas Window Shopping

I took a two-day off from work since Monday because Ralph was sick since Friday. When he was feeling a little better, we went to Bacolod on Tuesday, yesterday, to get the Solar Panel Grid Tie Inverted fixed. The fuse of the inverter blew up and NEMCOR (New Energy Marketing Corporation) told us to come back after a week coz they have to order the fuse in Manila. I was about to ask why the need to order it from Manila when it can probably be bought from The Radio Store along Central Market area, but I decided against it. They must know what they’re doing.

Because we had some time to kill, we decided to go window shopping. Ralph needed a haircut and it was a perfect timing as we found this Sports Barbers located in SMX (it is the new and big extension of the SM mall). The staff are nice and we instantly felt at home so we decided to get his haircut done there. Plus, the rate is very affordable.

We also found what I have been asking from him as a Christmas gift. No, it’s not a gadget this time. If he ever buys this for me as a Christmas gift this year, this would be the first time I’m NOT getting a gadget for Christmas. I just wanted this exercise equipment that I keep seeing whenever I watch The Biggest Loser. I figured since Ralph does not allow me to go with my friend Janice out for a workout in the gym, might as well have my own gym at home!

There was this one funny incident. Apparently, Ralph was not aware of the ‘selfie sticks’ that has become increasingly popular among the teenagers today. He saw a group doing a ‘groufie’ (also known as group selfie) using that selfie stick. He whispered “What are they doing and what the hell is that?” he asked, pointing to the long armed tool that held the cellphone camera. I had to stifle a giggle as he looked so innocent and naive. I told him about it and his only comment is that the group looked somewhat ridiculous! I must agree though. I mean don’t get me wrong, I completely have nothing against the selfie stick but I won’t be caught dead using such stick to take a picture of me or my group. I would rather ask a bystander to take the picture for us.
