Navigating the Snail-paced Yet Super Convenient Patient Portal of Bacolod Riverside Medical Center

Hey everyone! So, yesterday, after twisting myself into a pretzel during yoga (gotta keep that body and soul aligned, right?), I found myself at Bacolod Riverside Medical Center for my CBC and ESR lab tests. You know, just your regular health stuff. I was blissfully unaware of their new patient portal interface until then.

Here’s the deal: after the blood extraction, they tell me it’ll take 2 to 3 hours for the results. Ugh, the thought of coming back and battling for a parking spot again? No, thank you! I decided to be clever (or so I thought) and planned to pick up the results next week, just before my appointment with my arthritis doctor, Dra. Olga Pabicon. Hitting two birds with one stone, right?

But wait, there’s more! As I’m leaving Bacolod, I get this text from RMC Lab.

Great timing, folks! And then, bam! They hit me with a link to their patient portal, along with a request to use my patient ID for access.

Where do you get the patient ID, you may ask? It’s in your patient health card that they give you when you first registered with them. Here’s mine (sorry, it’s very old).

Side note: Make sure your mobile number’s updated with them. They send a One Time Pin to it, and you’ll need that to get in.

Now, let me warn you about the portal. It’s… slow. And I mean, sloth-in-molasses slow. It’s not your internet, I promise – it’s definitely Riverside’s server taking its sweet time.

But, once you’re in, it’s like finding a treasure chest of your medical history. All my old lab results were there, just a click away! It was pretty amazing to see everything in one place, and you can even print them out if needed.

So, despite the initial hiccups and the portal’s need for a speed boost, I have to say – kudos to Riverside! This portal is a game-changer. No more unnecessary trips just to pick up lab results. It’s all there, in the digital world, waiting for you (patiently, very patiently).

Now, if only they could speed up that server a bit… πŸ’πŸ’¨
